Obituary of Robert S. Rizzuto

Robert S. Rizzuto, 72, of 318 Colfax Street, died Thursday April 22, 2021, in his home. A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born July 27, 1948, a son of the late Fredrick and Mary Cresanti Rizzuto. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and later served in the US Army from 1967-70. Prior to his retirement he was employed by WCA Hospital as a maintenance mechanic. He earlier had worked for Jamestown General Hospital. He will be remembered as a gentle soul who loved his family, nature, and uplifting those around him with the knowledge gained through his life experiences. Surviving is his wife Kathleen Gatto Rizzuto, whom he married December 26, 1979; three children Jon (Suzanne) Svensson of Jamestown, Robert D. (Eric) Rizzuto of Massachusetts and Becky (Wayne) Whitman of Jamestown; ten grandchildren; a great grandson; a brother Fred (Georgeann) Rizzuto, of Jamestown and a sister Sue (Chuck) Peterson of Coventry, NY.
