Obituary of Joseph S. Austin

Joseph S. Austin III 44, of Jamestown, died unexpectedly Saturday April 17, 2021, in UMPC Chautauqua. He was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on September 6, 1976, a son of the late Joseph S. Austin II and Sandra A. Robinson. Joseph better known as Ahmad had a love and passion for music just like his late mother Sandra. He liked all genres of music but really cared for Old School R&B like Al Green, Rap and Hip Hop. He was a songwriter, singer and rapper himself. He was a jokester, die-hard fan of the Buffalo Bills, barber on the go, self-proclaimed chef and a 1994 graduate of Jamestown High School. His legacy will continue with his daughters: Izonna C. Austin, Kira Christensen, Jamira Austin granddaughter: ZiyaRay Garcia siblings: Diane Robinson-Wiley, Allan Robinson Jr., Millicent Leeper, Kemyatta Austin and Terry Austin; uncle; Terrance Austin; cousin, Jordan Austin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a life-long reliable and loyal friend Rashonda Leeper. A walk-through visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral home. Masks are required and social distancing must be observed. No formal funeral service will be held.
