Obituary of Basilisa Perez

Basilisa Perez, 85, of 6442 S. Stockton-Cassadaga Road, Sinclairville, beloved Mother and Grandmother passed on Tuesday April 27, 2021, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18, 1935, in Patillas, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Geraldo Ortiz and Jacinta Soto. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Puerto Rician Social Club in her earlier years. Surviving are her husband Eusebio Perez, who she married in 1967; five children Judy (Edwin) Banini of Suwanee, GA, Hector (Deborah) Perez of Jamestown, Charles (Paula) Perez of Sinclairville, Eusebio (Rachel) Perez, Jr of Painesville, OH and Nilda (Raymond) Christensen, of Elk River, MN; 15 grandchildren; Kweku, Jose, Lisa, Alyssa, Abbriana, Samantha, Maranda, Laura, Caleb, Isaac, Jeremiah, Krystal, Joshua and Zachariah; 16 great grandchildren; a sister Tomasa Ortiz and two brothers Fela and Paco Ortiz all of Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by four sisters Benita and Candida Ortiz, Isabel Cruz, Cecilia Ortiz and two brothers Alejo and Cando Ortiz. A private service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home for the immediate family only. The service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/lindfuenralhomeinc/ beginning at 1:15 p.m. Monday.
