I was a Student of Mr. Sohmer back in 1969. Such a long time ago, as it seems now, but due to the impression he made on me as a Student it seems like yesterday. Geometry i would soon find out would not be my strong point. He taught me in summer school that year and he left such a impression on me that I would never forget and talked often about Mr. Sohmer his kindness and character. I use to see him in church as he attended St. James and on a rare occasion I would be able to exchange a greeting. As I am sure, he left everlasting impression on students more so the he ever will know. My condolences to the family and I am sure his Grandchildren will cherish the memories they shared together.
