Obituary of Darlene L. Brown

Darlene L. Brown, 85, of Greenhurst Village Drive, Jamestown, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at UPMC Chautauqua. She was born November 29, 1935 in the Village of Cattaraugus, NY, a daughter of the late Alta and Fern Frentz. For more than 30 years, Darlene was employed by New York State as a Mental Hygiene Therapy Aide as a member of the intensive rehabilitation unit. She had been a member of the Red Hat Society, Order of the Eastern Star and the Moose. Surviving are three children: Deborah Sutter (Kim Miller) of Durham, NC, Raymond Brown (Cindy) of Cherry Creek, NY and Michael Brown (Jennifer) of Ashville, NY; eight grandchildren: Amanda Reed, Andrew Sutter, David Tanner, James Tanner, Nathan Brown, Angie McLaughlin, Hayden Brown and Cooper Brown; eight great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Young of Brooksville, FL and Bobbi Anne Baker of Cleveland, OH; and a brother, Jimmy Frentz of Cattaraugus, NY. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Brown, as well as her daughter Melissa Tanner. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Whittier Apple Farm in Blockville, NY on August 22nd from 1 – 5 p.m. Help the family celebrate the colorful, crazy and unique life of Darlene. From 3 to 4 p.m. has been reserved to share your thoughts and experiences with Darlene.
