Obituary of Donald W. Sholl

Donald W. "Don" Sholl, Jr., 52, of Lakewood, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in UPMC Chautauqua. He was born on Feb. 8, 1969 in Jamestown, a son of the late Alfred and Beulah Moore. He was a 1987 graduate of Jamestown High School and received his bachelor's degree in Sociology from SUNY Fredonia. He also was a graduate of the Chautauqua County Police Academy at Jamestown Community College. Don was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Don was an owner and operator of Tilaro's Bakery in Jamestown for the last 25 years. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan and enjoyed camping, sitting by the fire, the casino, and relaxing at the beach. He loved spending time with his family and especially his children. Don is survived by his wife, the former Joann M. Tilaro whom he married August 6, 1994; his children: Megan, Adam, Hannah, and Jacob Sholl; a brother Ken (Cheryl) Moore; a sister Sharon Goodwill; sisters and brothers-in-law: Cindy (Dan) Smith, Bob (Jenny) Tilaro, Tom (Mary) Tilaro; his mother and father-in- law Sebastian (Ann) Tilaro; many nieces and nephews including Kristina and Joey Smith, Sebastian, Gabriel, Nicholas, and Charlotte Tilaro; and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Beulah Moore; a brother- in- law Joe Goodwill; a sister Cindy Lanphere; a niece Connie Goodwill; and a great nephew Robbie Goodwill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Piotr Zaczynski will be celebrant. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. If unvaccinated, you must wear a mask and social distance while in the funeral home.
