Obituary of Phillip J. Trusso
Phillip J. Trusso, 60, of 83 Harris Avenue, died unexpectedly Sunday August 1, 2021, in his home.
A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born October 18, 1960, a son of Jane Dioguardi and the late Joseph Trusso, Jr.
He was a 1978 graduate of Jamestown High School and later received a bachelor's degree in Art from SUNY Fredonia.
He was employed by Wegman's in the produce department.
He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
Phil and his wife served as vice presidents of the Jamestown High School Music Boosters for 3 years.
He was a gifted woodworker and creator of ceramics. He traveled extensively to shows selling his craft. He won numerous awards for his works of art.
Surviving are his wife Stephanie Wadsworth Trusso, whom he married September 29, 1990; a daughter Sloane Trusso of Columbus, OH; a sister Laura Trusso of Rochester and a brother Joseph (Donna) Trusso of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2018.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday at St. James Catholic Church. All in attendance are invited to a time of fellowship in the church hall following the Mass.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
