Mrs. Arvidson watched us horse around in the back yard on Swan Street as we were growing up. She knew we would get ourselves into trouble somehow, led by Tore, of course. It seemed she had a sixth sense that sooner or later someone would call to complain about the boys who were making mischief in the neighborhood. Yet, she did what a loving mother does: she forgave us, gave us food and drinks, and even invited us back. In the end, I think we all realized that she really cared about us, and that's what kept us from doing anything really stupid. I will always remember her smile and gentle manner. It is a great blessing to have known her and to touch the life of her family. For this, I am deeply grateful. The Arvidson family is in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all. Mark Swanson
