Obituary of Barbara H. Wigley

Barbara H. Wigley, 93, formerly of Jamestown, died Friday September 10, 2021, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born August 12, 1928, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late John and Helen Hohl Bollman. She was a 1946 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an office worker by several area insurance agencies including Erickson Swan Rowley and C. Kenneth Johnson. As a member of the Noon Rotary Club, she served as secretary for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Susan Center, meeting friends at the YMCA to exercise, golfing and time spent with "the sorority." Surviving are three children Martha (John) Grilla of Jamestown, Mary (Jay) Titus of Falconer and Robert (Laurie Ardieta) Wigley of Honeoye Falls, NY; seven grandchildren Matthew Titus, Sarah Titus, Kate Ledbetter, Brian Smith, Jr., Danielle (Eric) Farrren, Danielle Carrier and Alex Ardieta; several great grandchildren and a brother William Bollman of Danville, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband William K. "Bud" Wigley, whom she married November 28, 1959, and who died January 7, 2020; two brothers John and James Bollman; a sister Mary Jo Darroch and a grandson John Grilla. A private graveside service will be held in Lake View Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
