I have fond memories of the McDowells during the Spring Lake days in East Stroudsburg. Mr. McDowell was a great neighbor and great Boy Scout leader. He will be missed. My condolences to the entire McDowell family.

Bob, I have known you since you were in college and met the love of your life Gerri, my best friend. You both included me in your family and I was in your wedding, at your children's births, and over 55 years of crazy, happy and sad moments of our lives. No matter how far away we lived from each other we stayed close as family. I will miss your laughter and hugs the most. Gerri is surrounded by the love of your children and grandchildren and the happiness you built together. May you rest in peace and I believe we will all meet again with our Heavenly Father.

Brother Bob, my heart aches at loosing you. One of my first childhood memories was hearing my mother’s voice from the hospital saying “you have a new baby brother”. So happy to have someone smaller than me, since I had 5 older sibling and you were #7. We Shared 77 years of awesome love and friendship, so many trips Hawaii, S.F. Calf., Alaska,, Fla, Can. and more. How you loved to travel. You set a high bar for yourself and showed all the life qualities that made so many of us love and appreciate you. I always looked up to you little brother. Your life was rich and full and now you are at peace with the King of Peace, Jesus!

Seeing Bob's photo reminds me of his enthusiasm, energy and joy of life. He was a pleasure to be around. And, of course, Gerri and his children are a beautiful reflection on a wonderful gentleman.
