I am so very sad to hear of the loss of Dorothy. I worked with her for many years at WCA. She was very well respected for her knowledge and dedication. I loved that you posted her picture in her nurses cap. As another nurse from that “era” I know what it means. Her family was so very important to her and I know she treasured you Terry . We shared together the joys and hopes of our families.

I worked with Dorothy many years in the O.R. I always thought of her as a committed nurse and a team player and always dependable. So so sorry to hear of her passing. Her family was truly her joy. She spoke often about loving to vacation in New England. God Bless you Terry, Meghan and Christopher.

Terra, I remember your name well from Dorothy's tales of the OR. I'm afraid I don't remember if we met but we sure appreciate your kind comments. Not only did Dorothy love to vacation in new England she hoped one day to live in Maine. We are grateful for your remembrances of Dorothy.

Saddened hearing of Dorothy’s passing. I helped train her to operating room nursing many years ago at Warren General Hospital. She was a wonderful nurse. We addressed her as Dottie. After several years she told us her name is Dorothy and she preferred us using that. Just a memory I thought I’d share. Thoughts and prayers are with Terry and her family. Sincerely, Elaine Taraska

Elaine, how great to see your name. I can tell you that Dorothy held you in high regard as well. I remember so well the time when Dorothy came up with the courage to set her name right. It did take several years! I never had the ability to remember the past that Dorothy had but I do remember you well and thank you for all the support you gave to Dorothy. We are grateful for your kind thoughts and prayers. They mean a lot.

To Dorothy Ann’s family…Was so sorry to learn of her passing. I have such fond memories of her growing up…she would often visit us with her Mom and Edie when we lived out of town. Those were special visits! Heartfelt condolences to you all. May the love of family and friends, as well as your memories, comfort you now and in the days to come.
