These marvelous testimonials give so much admiration and love to Kenny that he’d be blushing and telling us to stop. But let’s not. He’s a big soul and deserves bigger cheers. I haven't seen him in so long that I can offer only glimpses of Kenny. He’s up-front and enthusiastic in all of them. He’s so open, you couldn’t be shy. A born Master of Ceremonies; a superb salesman – always a closer.
He loved his family. Get that. He loved his mother. He loved to sing.
I had the great pleasure of introducing him on the radio, back in the ‘40’s. He sang “Old Man River” and killed. He did the verse. You could do that, then.

Your dad was such a great man. He was so good to me. He always treated me as one of his own children. I, shamefully, had not talked to him in several years but he always crept into my mind from time to time. He is, was and always will be an important part of my memories.
When your dad and I would talk he would always have a story. He would always talk about his children: Lisa, Gail, Shawn, Brad and Polly with great pride.
I’m sorry for the loss you feel but know he is with our Lord.
It’s been years but please know I still love all of you
Debbie (Hutley) Hasson

Ken was a true friend to me and my family for over 20 years. His bass voice and hearty laugh were unforgettable. And the jokes…Did you hear the one about the priest and the nun who… !!! He was happy in his senior home with family close by. We will miss him greatly.

Ken was a loyal and enthusiastic member of the Chautauqua Choir. He truly lit up a room, and we enjoyed knowing him and seeing him in the summer. He will be greatly missed. Ruth Powell, choir librarian

Hi Polly, I am so sorry to hear this. Ken was a kind and helpful person. When I first moved here, I felt foreign to this country, but it was Ken who helped us integrate to life here in the US. Ken would tell us that he was our American father. We are so incredibly grateful for him and we will keep him in our hearts forever. East and Wendy

Polly and Family, I was guaranteed a friendly conversation and a giant smile whenever my path crossed Ken’s. Our family lived next to the Verblaws so we had that connection. And he was always a great promoter of your relative, Mark Russell.
I will cherish the memory of your dad.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked at Lutheran taking care of Ken. Ken was such a love able person. He talked about his family a lot and would always share pictures of everyone. Some days his room and companion was a work escape to have a moment of peace, Ken called us his work granddaughters. Everyday he would great us, hug us and tell us he loved us. That’s just how he was. He loved singing with us and watching old movies. Ken always told me the best advice. He always hugged me and said when you work next. That meant he wanted a treat or an extra pudding cup. I love Ken so much he brought happiness to so many residents. Papa Ken that’s what I called him, I will miss you so much, I’m sending my love and prayers to all the family. Papa Ken we love you.Rest In Peace.
