Obituary of Mary L. Ford

Mary L. Ford, 69, of 1158 Prendergast Avenue, Jamestown, died Thursday October 21, 2021, in St. Vincent Health Care Center, Erie, PA. A Jamestown native, she was born February 20, 1952, a daughter of the late Clayton and Lois Hoyle Danielson. She was a 1970 graduate of Jamestown High School, where she was in A Capella Choir and Madrigal Singers. Prior to her retirement she was employed by The Resource Center as a secretary. She also had worked at Piece Goods, Joann Fabric and Ziebart Tidy Car and earlier in her life as a tailor on the US Navy base in Georgia. A woman with immense talent, she could accomplish many things with a sewing machine. She produced quilts, table runners and tailoring garments. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cross stitch. Surviving is her husband of 50 years David C. Ford, whom she married July 9, 1971; three children Nichole (Robert) Kopenski of Atlanta, GA, Brandon (Elizabeth) Ford of Atlanta, GA and Renae Bordenkircher of Silver Creek, NY; eight grandchildren Jeanine "Beka", Samuel, James and Maximus Kopenski, Brandon Ford, Jr., Hannah Ford and Samantha and Joseph Bordenkircher and a brother Dale (Judy) Danielson of Missouri. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Jeanine Seekings. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in Cable Hollow Community Church.
