Upon moving to Jamestown in 1956, she attended and was a graduate of Jamestown Business College. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Boys Club as a secretary. Annie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Anyone who met her instantly found family. She loved to cook for her family, especially for the holidays and was known for her delicious "rum cake"! Her children were her pride and joy, she attended all their school events and later did the same for her grands. With her loving husband she traveled to many places in the world with Rome being her favorite place. An avid football fan, she loved her Buffalo Bills. She loved all types of music, flowers and theater with "Phantom of the Opera" being her all-time favorite, seeing it at least 4 times. She never stopped learning, always reading and gaining knowledge especially regarding Black History and she loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. A member of the YMCA, she enjoyed her water aerobics classes and as she called them her water aerobics family. Later in life she began to garden and grow her own vegetables. Surviving is her husband George Wilson, Sr., whom she married August 8, 1965; three children Yolanda Wilson of Tampa, FL, George "Andy" (Celia) Wilson Jr. and Chad Wilson both of Jamestown; grandchildren Brandon Wade, Analese Wilson, Kianna Wilson, Tyjai Wilson, Cayrem Wilson, Jaxsyn Wilson, Tyler Wilson and Kobe Wilson; great grandchildren Desiree, Jayden and Marcellus and siblings Christine Blakely, Musa (Betty) Saeed and sisters in law Vicki Goble and LillaDell Howard. And a host of others who call her "mom." She was preceded in death by a son Gregg Wilson, a daughter Dr. Loretta JoAnn Wilson Wade, son in law Barry Wade and a brother Willie Frank Davis. Due to COVID the family will hold a private graveside burial.
