Tom and I met in the late 1990s when I was attending college and working for my grandfather's antiques and collectibles business which he was also involved with in the local market. He became an excellent friend of the family and for years, was always there supporting us all. Every funeral, he attended to help comfort us and even once, made a surprise visit to see me in the hospital when I was recovering from a physical condition. That was the kind of gentleman he was.
My mother shared the news with me this evening but also added, Tom had just called my father a week ago and asked how I was doing. It's pleasing to know his dedication never ceased.
Thank you, Tom for being there for us. You will be truly missed.
