Obituary of Arlene F. Daniels

Arlene Frances Daniels, 77, was born July 17th, 1944 in Buffalo, NY. The daughter of Arlie W. Breen and Sally Kotowski Breen Johnson. She married Curtis Daniels on March 10th, 1973 and they have two daughters, Leva Marie Daniels of Hawaii and Ivory Danielle Daniels of Jamestown. She also has a sister, Leah Chlosey of Orlando, FL. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and an infant brother, Billy Breen. She earned an associate's degree from Bryant and Stratton College in Buffalo, NY. She worked for many years in the Home Décor Department at JCPenney's in the Chautauqua Mall. Arlene was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening at her home and had a love for large exotic rocks and stones with which she decorated her garden. She also was very fond of coffee from the restaurant in Brooklyn Square. In 1958, Arlene was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She attended the East Jamestown, NY Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses where she enjoyed giving gifts to young children and to older and infirm individuals. Most important to Arlene, however, during the course of her over 60 years as a part of the Christian Congregation, was the public ministry that Jehovah's Witnesses offer freely as a community service. For over 30 years, she was privileged to serve full time in that ministry. She became well known by many in the Jamestown area as the "Lady" who would visit their homes to offer comfort from the scriptures. She also readily shared thoughts from the Bible with others while doing everyday tasks such as shopping, going to Dr's appointments and even to medical staff when she herself was a patient in the hospital. She reflected God's impartiality by preaching to individuals of many different backgrounds, and even learned some greetings and phrases in the Arabic and Hindi languages to reach out to those with a Middle Eastern heritage. In fact, it could be said that her ministry work was never done! We will, for a short time miss our dear sister who now rests peacefully in the common grave of mankind. Yet, we look forward to the day when our Lord and King Christ Jesus will call her back to life and health in the new Earth about which she so tirelessly preached. John 5: 26-29 Her memorial will be held on Saturday, November 13th at 2 pm via Zoom Video Conferencing. Brother Dan Hamilton will preside. Zoom Meeting ID: 853 9875 8056 Passcode: 091994
