Obituary of Donald J. Vesotski

Donald J. "Don" Vesotski, 84, of Greenhurst Ave., Greenhurst, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021 in UPMC Chautauqua. Don was born July 2, 1937 in Great Valley, NY, a son of the late Walter F. and Lucille Ambuske Vesotski. He was a 1955 graduate of Salamanca High School and was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1955-1957. Retiring in 1999, he was employed as a salesman for Stroehmann Bakery and in earlier years for Millbrook Bakery. Don served on the board of Chautauqua Region MS Society for many years. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed collecting coins and enjoyed having Johnny's Lunch texas hots with his two brothers. Don is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sherry S. Sprankle Vesotski, whom he married Nov. 22, 1980; five children: Donna Williams, Jay "Michael" Vesotski, Thomas (Patricia) Vesotski, Jason (Lynda) Klawon, Sara (Eric) Corey; six grandchildren: Ashley (Jeremy) Bialaszewski, Timothy Williams, Raymond Vesotski, Stephanie Vesotski, Annabella Prieto, Josephine Corey; three great-grandchildren: Mason Deming, Olivia Bialaszewski, Zander Bialaszewski; two brothers: Fran (Athlene) Vesotski and Richard "Rufus" (Joanne) Vesotski; and his beloved cat Samantha. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Timothy Vesotski, June Kelly, John L. Vesotski, and Jackie Vesotski. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 in Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Salamanca. Visitation will not be observed.
