Obituary of Dora M. Cicchini

Dora M. Cicchini, 88, of Bridgeville, PA, formerly of Lakewood, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, in the St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born May 18, 1933, in Kinzua, Pa, a daughter of the late Bruno and Sabia Di Tonto Pace and was a 1951 graduate of Warren Area High School. Before her retirement she was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk in the Lakewood Post Office. She had also worked as a secretary for the former Bank of Jamestown and for the Warren Bank and Trust Company. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lakewood, NY, and a member of the Lakewood Fire Department Auxiliary, the Lakewood Book Club, and the Chautauqua Lake Partnership. Surviving are her two children, P. Richard Cicchini (Shawn) of Bemus Point, NY, Natalie (David) Knizner of Bridgeville, Pa, with whom she made her home, four grandchildren, Peter Cicchini, whom she raised of Pittsburgh, PA, Justin (Alexis) Cicchini of CA, John Knizner of Bridgeville, PA, Kristine Knizner of Springfield, VA, a great granddaughter, Aidah Cicchini of CA, three sisters, Antoinette (Michael) Durkin of MD, Sylvia Larson and Mary T. Munch both of FL, a sister-in-law, Charlene Pace of Warren, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Cicchini whom she married October 10, 1953, and who died October 10, 2006, a sister, Raffaella Peck and a brother, Vincent Pace. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday In Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lakewood, NY. The Rev. Piotr Zaczynski, pastor will be celebrant. Entombment will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am Friday, just prior to the mass in the church.
