Dear Aunt Susie, Wally, Tracy, Lisa, Debbie, Scott: I'm so sorry for your loss and the loss to your families. Art's stories at the service were a hoot! I especially loved the one about Uncle Bud answering "I'm right here" when the doctor asked him where he was. :) There is a story my mom always tells at Christmas time that is one of my favorites. She once referred to Uncle Bud as the ring leader of mischief. :) One Christmas Eve, he decided it was time to try to catch a glimpse of Santa delivering presents. He got my mom and Eleanor to go along with his plan, of course. They snuck down the stairs and ran into none other than their mom. In the back room with packages. Without missing a beat, she told them that Santa had just left and that he was running a bit behind schedule. Santa asked her if she would mind, since she was still awake, placing the presents under the tree for him. My mom said they were in awe that their own mom got to talk to Santa in their own home on Christmas Eve, and that they had come so close to seeing him with their very own eyes. Uncle Bud, I remember how much you loved working on old cars, and I always loved seeing them when you brought them to Kane for the car shows. You were so talented! I also remember Mom telling me about how grandma had taken a toy car that you could ride in, added airplane wings to it, and then painted it silver for you when you were a kid. Your very own silver bomber! I have this fun vision of you cruising down the sidewalk in it with a big grin! Aunt Susie, Wally, Tracy, Lisa, Debbie, and Scott, and your families. I remember the time at Long Lake in Canada when Dad and Uncle Dee went fishing and came back empty handed. You then went out to fish by yourself, and later came walking up the bank with a large fish hanging from each hand! You never did tell exactly how you manged to catch them! - Nancy I remember the time you came up at midnight to help me get my car started at Frontier Railroad in Buffalo, N.Y.
