Obituary of Louis J. Anderson

Louis J. "Lou" Anderson, 77, of 3700 N. Main Street, Ext., passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, in UPMC Chautauqua following a brief illness. He was born May 13, 1944, in Jamestown, a son of the late Ray and Maxine Freeman Anderson. He attended Falconer schools through 11th grade and graduated from Cassadaga Central School in 1963. He owned and operated Ideal Coatings for many years. Lou was an avid Mopar muscle car enthusiast who enjoyed attending car shows and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA). Above everything else, Lou was a family man who deeply loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. Surviving are two children Rodney (Mary Jane) Anderson of Jamestown and Rhonda (Jamie) Simmons of Jamestown; grandchildren Jenna (Brandon Tweedie) Anderson of Long Island, NY, Julia (Brandon) Heitzenrater of Kennedy, Jarod (Olivia Adam) Anderson of Jamestown, Nicole (Matt Bittler) Simmons of Jamestown and Emily (Cody) McAdoo of Jamestown and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Gaeta Anderson, whom he married August 8, 1964, and who died January 13, 2009, and five siblings Raymond, Carolyn, Donald, Tom and Carl. The funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 9-11 am Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
