Obituary of Larry W. Price

Larry W. Price, 76, of 23 W. Third St. in Jamestown, died Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk. He was born March 26, 1945 in Penhook, VA, a son of the late Raymond and Maggie Pruitt Price. Larry was employed as a factory worker, most recently at the former Vac Air Alloys in Frewsburg. He enjoyed throwing horseshoes, for which he had several trophies. He also loved cars, and everyone knew his car was his pride and joy. Surviving is a son, Dudley Wade Craighead of Rocky Mount, VA, and granddaughter, Alberta Alicia Craighead of Glade Hill, VA; three sisters: Ella (John) Williams of Jamestown, Pandora Gill of Martinsville, VA, and Earnestine Price of Columbus, OH; two brothers: Raymond (Ronnie Jean) Price, Jr. of Bassett, VA, and Tommy Lee (Cynthia Lou) Price of Tacoma, WA; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Dorothy B. Price Campbell; and two sisters, Annie Bell Price and Gloria Jean Taylor. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leroy Walker officiating. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m., for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Friday, where masks are required at all times.
