Obituary of Cleo M. Brevoort

Cleo M. Brevoort, 95, of 1268Shadyside Road, died Wednesday December 15, 2021, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A life-long area resident, she was born April 25, 1926, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Ray and Georgia Lown Jackson. She was a 1944 graduate of Celoron High School where she was salutatorian. She later attended Fredonia Teacher's College. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Jamestown Telephone Company as an operator. She was a 59-year member of First Covenant Church where she served in many capacities including singing in the Living Christmas Tree for several years. Surviving is two children Tom (Susan) Brevoort of Niceville, FL and Diane Schine of Ashville and two granddaughters Jamie Schine of Orchard Park, NY and Amy (Josh Miller) Schine of Ashville. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Brevoort whom she married December 31, 1944, and who died January 3, 2021; a step grandson Billy Arell and two sisters Norma LaBarbra and Emerald Ulander. Due to the pandemic no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
