I worked for Monty for three summers at Super Duper in the late 1970's. I started out knowing nothing about produce but eventually Monty trusted me to run things after he left for the day. He was a joy to work with and taught me a lot. It was one of the best jobs I've ever had.

Monty was a good soul. He will be missed. I had a chance to work for him back in the early eighties and really enjoyed my time there. David Knickerbocker

We have only known Monty for a few years. Met him when we started to come to Arcadia. He was a wonderful , loving person. He took the most loving care of his wife. He always had a smile and I loved playing Bunco with him. It is always hardest on those left behind but I know he is smiling from ear to ear now that he is back with his first love. Prayers for comfort to the family at this difficult time. Heartfelt Condolences, Scott and Marsha Miller

My sincere condolences to you all. Monty and Sally were such wonderful people. They always were cheerful and so so gracious and loving. You are in my prayers as you mourn his passing and celebrate his life. Several years ago I visited Panama and happened to run into Monty at the church. He was truly happy to see us and even took us to his home to have a visit with Sally. What a wonderful man. There is rejoicing in heaven as he enters the presence of His Lord. Rest In Peace Monty. I’ve known the Blakeslee family for most of my years. Vermont and Sally were like an older brother and sister, and the “guys” were my little brothers and sisters. They all were spiritual mentors to me. Though time and distance have sent us our separate ways, I will always love each one. I am especially grateful to Vermont and Sally for encouraging me and giving me my first opportunity to teach God’s Word. Little did they know that teaching the Bible would become a lifelong desire and activity for me. As to Vermont, I was greatly touched by his coming to my dad’s internment service in 2010. It meant much to me for him to represent his family. But that was Vermont, a thoughtful and caring Godly man. Mont, I’ll see you again someday.
