I played for the Kiwanis Little League team, and Jack Rizzo was my coach. Jack coached the right way. He was a GREAT teacher of the game, and his greatest lessons may have been about sportsmanship. He was a fierce competitor, but never crossed the line always remaining respectful, and wouldn't tolerate disrespect from his players. I carry those lessons about sportsmanship with me to this day.
In my last year, Jack talked me out of quitting (when I figured out I wasn't going to be a pitcher) by coming to my house on his own time, telling me that he needed me and was counting on me. Feeling wanted and needed, I didn't quit, and went on to be an all star. The experience helped me see myself as successful, and gave me confidence. Those are some of the most important experiences you can have during your formative years. How can you pay someone back for such valuable gifts? Thank you Jack Rizzo! You made a big impression on my life!

Jack was a great guy! My dad worked with him at Proto Tool. He was also my ball coach for the Little Big League. Always had a minute to stand and talk. Just a great Guy!
