My heart hurts for all of you. I remember Mason and his big smile in my first grade. I see that smile in Juniper’s beautiful smile and eyes. I have enjoyed hearing about him over the years, as Missy shared stories with me over the years, with so much pride. Hold those happy memories close. Rest easy Mason.

While I do not know you or your son, I was very touched by the passage in his obituary regarding addiction. My heart ached for you and your family. Addiction is and has been in my family, I could easily relate to your pain. I copied your words in hopes it can help. Peace to you. Wendie Raynor

Mason,
There isn’t anything more than we can say other than we love you. From Kinney Street as children to the last time we saw each other as adults, you always were there for the best times. The memories will be cherished and for a lifetime. We love you so much.

I just want to say that although I am a total stranger, I was so very moved by the statement that was incorporated into Mason's obituary by his loving parents. I do know that addiction is running rampant all around us these days. I have very, very close relatives who are dealing with it. I am just totally at a loss how it all came to this with the younger generation. I wish these young kids would just have the foresight to never take that first hit, snort, pill, injection, or whatever it is. I wish they would realize that no matter how dark their world may seem at the time; they should definitely resist going to a place where the drugs are surely, sooner or later, only destined to take them to yet a darker place that they can never escape. I feel so bad for the parents and everyone that knew Mason; therefore, I want to reiterate something I don't hear very often, kids please, please, please don't even take that first hit, that first snort, that first injection, etc...........because believe me after that first time nothing will ever get better for you and certainly not your loved ones you leave behind. Don't play with fire because you may just become the next addict. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mason Lange. May we all band together and stop this insanity.

We have no idea how to say this and hope it comes across the right way if there is a right way. We almost feel guilty, because your words at the end of Masons Obituary quieted the constant turmoil and fear in our minds and hearts for just a little while for the first time in years. Just reading the words...It is amazing how spot on you were and we wanted to thank you for somehow managing to take the time to write these most profound and accurate words, at what is without question the most devastating time in your life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. May you somehow find peace in all the precious memories you have made with Mason......We're here for you anytime of the day or night my friend...

A child is never to young to for a Mommy n Me session and Mason loved doing this with his Momma ~ he was just so vibrant with his most creative and sarcastic way. The worlds light went a little dimmer as we mourn his loss yet hope you find blessings in having known such a wonderful young man in this life we all experience. He was a joy. RIP Mason. May peace be with all your family and friends ~ You will be missed!

Bill and Missy,
My heart is shattered once again. Another beautiful and talented child lost too soon. Mason and my son Seth were good friends. I lost my Seth last year after his long battle with addiction. May you find some sort of peace in knowing that the war is over. SELF HATE AND SHAME NO LONGER EXIST IN MASON! He is finally at peace with himself. I know that Mason and Seth are together, laughing their asses off and jamming their guitars!

I remember Mason as a little preschooler when he and his Mama, Missy, participated together in the Jamestown Community Learning Council Project Bush program. From then on Missy and I became friends and colleagues when she was hired by JCLC. I loved hearing about Mason from Missy throughout the years as he grew into a man and eventually had a child of his own. Mason will live on through Juniper. May he Rest In Peace and may precious memories bring peace to Missy and Bill.

May God shine his light for Mason and his family during these times. The parents have showed love and courage to write their feelings of this situation. If more would do this type of warning about all the covid deaths some lives could be saved. I may not know you folks but I care and wish you God's peace until you meet again.
