Dear Richardson Family,
My father John J. Donlon was a Police Officer and close friend of Mr. Richardson. Our families enjoyed many good times together at your home in Gates, NY during the 1970s. Your Dad was a wonderful man. He took me for a 3 hour ride on his Harley Davidson in 1975 which I will never forget. May He Rest In Peace.
Love, The Donlon Family.

Charlie and Hedy and David and Karen were friends and neighbors and my husband George was part of the Police motor cycle "gang". We lived about 6 houses down from them in 1959-1964 and still were friends for a long time after that. He was a wonderful and caring man and helped us through some hard times. Rest in Peace.

In the 50's and 60's our Family lived next door to the Richardsons on Lakeview Terrace. Mr. Richardson and George Lane who lived down the street often rode their Police motorcycles home. I remember walking home from the YMCA and if we timed it right there was sometimes a ride for a couple of us up the Lakeview Pk. hill to our street. As the years go by it is not always easy to keep in touch. There is however lasting memories of growing up, being with friends and focusing on those we saw as role models. Mr. Richardson was one of those memorable role model figures. I am pleased to know he lived a full life and expect he touched and influenced many in his 93 years. My thoughts and prayers go out to his Family.

I offer my condolences to the family of a very great and gentle man. It was quite humbling to have a high ranking RPD officer and then Deputy Chief speak kindly to a new young police officer but he always did so with kindness and humility.
He lived a long an interesting life.

Dave,
I offer prayers of comfort for you and your family on the loss of a man that I admired and respected when I started as a young Trainee in 1971. He returned that respect and appreciated our contributions as we started on our careers. May he rest in eternal peace.

My deepest sympathy to the Richardson family. When I first met DC Richardson, he was not yet a DC, and he was the kind of person even a young cop, as I was at the time, could talk with and he offered encouragement and valuable advice. I always remember him as kind and happy. RIP Brother.
