We are so sorry to hear about the death of Gene. We did not know him for long, but in our short time his humor was the best. He was such a helpful neighbor and he made us feel welcome in the neighborhood . May he R.I.P. Mike and Caroline Ferrare

Dear Charlotte and Family,
Our hearts and prayers are with you all today. Gene loved his heritage, the Thule, and pitching in to help whenever and wherever he could.
We bid farewell to Gene’s body but not his spirit.
We bid farewell to Gene’s mind but not his dreams.
We bid farewell to Gene’s voice but not his message.
We bid farewell to Gene’s heart but not his love. NEVER his love.
For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8

I’m so sorry for your loss! I’ve known the Mayor for decades and my years on Park St were some of the best. From yard sales, picnics, parades, Vikings, fixing things I broke, our kids antics and Gene showing up for a BP checks. The whole family were the best neighbors ever. He will be missed but he is now free of Parkinson’s and I’m picturing him and my Mom bickering over something in heaven.
