Obituary of Lois Ann Seeley

Lois Ann Seeley, 89, formerly of Canton, TX, passed away at 9:04 am Sunday, March 20, 2022, in the home of her daughter Michelle in Ashville, NY. She was born December 24, 1932, in Panama, NY, a daughter of the late Clifton D. and Kathryn Eggleston Sweet, Sr. Lois was a 1951 graduate of Panama Central School. Before her retirement she was employed as an insurance adjuster for the Unigard Insurance Company in Jamestown and was also an insurance adjuster while living in Texas. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending craft shows, shopping and watching football, basketball, and baseball. Surviving is her four children: Alicia (Mark) Lamb of Bear Lake, PA, Mark (Mariann) Seeley of Olean, NY, Michelle (Rex) James of Ashville, NY, Kathy McNabb (Trevor) of Canton, TX, six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace R. Seeley whom she married October 7, 1951, and who died November 11, 2011, a brother, Clifton D. Sweet, Jr., a grandson, Kenneth Reid and a great granddaughter, Jessica Roberts. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Panama Union Cemetery. A special thank you goes out to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kendrya, Courtney, Kati, Kaylee and her special friend Shirley for their compassionate care the past several years.
