Obituary of Catherine F. Bosseler

Catherine F. Bosseler, 76, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 12:38 am Saturday, March 19, 2022, in UPMC Chautauqua. She was born on August 2, 1945, in Batavia, NY. In previous years she was employed by Bush Industries for several years. Catherine attended the Salvation Army and enjoyed going to the Ladies Aide Society gatherings. She also attended Camp Longpoint in the Finger Lakes. She will be remembered as a very social person who would spend hours at McDonalds and Burger King with her friends Rose, Ruth, and Tom. She attended TOPS meetings and loved going to the Audubon Nature Center to see "Liberty' the bald eagle. She also loved playing bingo and spending time with her friend Cindy. She is survived by her adopted family of 27 years, including her adopted mother, Madeline DeMarco with whom she made her home, her adopted sisters, Vicky (Chris) Haskell, Mary Jo (Steve) Caldwell, Rosa DeMarco (Paul Morris), Gina (John) Harris, several close nieces, and nephews, her two cousins, Linda Calannio and Carol Proestler, her caseworkers, Leslie Fickling and Laurie Heeder, her former caseworker, Laverne Lundmark, and Cathy's nurse, Angie Oaks. She was preceded in death by her adopted father John C. DeMarco who died October 24, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Salvation Army. Major Richard Best, retired officer will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
