Obituary of Mazie I. Furlow

Mazie I. Furlow, 75, of 3779 Heineman Road, Greenhurst, died Monday March 28, 2022, surrounded by her family in her home. A native of Titusville, PA, she was born March 29, 1946, a daughter of the late Harold and Elenor Moore Vergith. She was employed by AVI Food Systems as a kitchen worker. She was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church, AMVETS 726, VFW Post 53 and Ira Lou Spring Post 149 American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are three children Leal (Dianne) Jones of Jackson, NJ, Brenda (Michael) Scott of Cherry Creek and Anita (Frank) Eriksen of Jamestown; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and six siblings Sally Bisbee, Edith Vergith, Shirley Wolfe, Linda Spitale, Barbara McBride and Herman Vergith. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by siblings Harold Vergith, Robert Vergith, Betty Brown, Elsie Sullivan, Elenor Shuttleworth and Rosemary Vergith. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Busti Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
