While serving as pastor of Kidder UMC, Jan and Bob became good friends. Jan had the exact same birthday as my mother and became a surrogate mother for me as well. I have fond memories of Sunday lunches at Lakewood Rod & Gun and driving to Warren for Sakura Buffet (it wasn’t as fun when they opened in Lakewood). I will treasure her homemade cards for birthdays, Christmas and those occasions when she somehow knew that I needed one. I also enjoyed our conversations of family and faith and even politics. Going through Bob’s miracle together was unforgettable. Most of all, I’ll miss her piano playing which was an act of worship. I am so sad for our loss and my heart breaks for Bob and the family. However, I trust we will all be reunited someday in heaven where I suspect Jan will already have a nice piano processional ready for us.

Janet was always a part of our lives as Aunt Mildred and Uncle Don was my Mother's Sister and Brother in law. I remember so many times when my Sister Julie and Janet were together. They were almost inseperatable. They were very very close. Janet will be joining her Mom and Dad, Grandparents and my Mom and Dad and Julie and so many more. She's the lucky one !!

She and her husband were neighbors for many years in Lakewood, NY. I was born the year she graduated High School, so the Reagles were a part of my childhood memories on our avenue. It is comforting and encouraging knowing Janet and I are part of the same Spiritual Family in Christ.

We are sending our love and comforting hugs to all of you. Jan was a very special lady who shared her joy with everyone. May God wrap His loving arms around you.
We bid farewell to Jan’s body but not her spirit.
We bid farewell to Jan’s mind but not her dreams.
We bid farewell to Jan’s voice but not her message.
We bid farewell to Jan’s heart but not her love. NEVER her love.
For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8

Janet will be so missed at Kidder Church. She played so many beautiful hymns on the piano for us on Sundays. She also shared some of her poems she had written.
