Obituary of Kyle R. Johnson
Kyle R. Johnson, 33, of Lakewood, passed away Monday April 25, 2022, due to complications of diabetes.
He was born November 14, 1988, in Jamestown, a son of James and Lisa Nelson Johnson.
He was a 2007 graduate of Southwestern Central School and went on to receive an associate degree from ITT Technical Institute, Getzville, NY.
He was employed by Chautauqua County Department of Public Facilities as a principal engineering aide. He earlier had various jobs including Kentucky Fried Chicken.
He was an avid sports fan of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, NASCAR, Formula One, soccer and college basketball. He was a member of Lakewood Memorial Post 1286 Sons of the Legion, Timber Creek golf league and played drums in the rock band 86 to Nowhere.
Surviving are his parents of Lakewood; a brother Tyler (Alyssa) Johnson of Stockton; Grandfather Gene Nelson of Lakewood; nieces and nephews Novalyne, Brooklyn, Cole and Bentley who were his pride and joy and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Sarah Nelson and Richard and Minnetta Johnson and uncles Danny and Dick Johnson.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
