Obituary of Shelley D. Pashley

Shelley Pashley, 89, passed away on May 4, 2022, at home with family and under the care of hospice. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Vern and Gertrude Dickeson. As a child Shelly spent her summers on the farm on Lakeside Drive in Bemus Point. She returned to Bemus Point in 1977 as a permanent resident. Shelley attended Hobart and William Smith College, graduating in 1954 with a degree in elementary education. She taught at Westfield Academy and later was a reading tutor for elementary age children. She also volunteered at the Fenton Historical Society. Shelly was an avid golfer and loved to watch the game as well as play. She was a member of the Bemus Point Golf Course and played in the Tuesday morning ladies league for many years. Shelley was a lifelong fan of the Michigan State Spartans basketball and football teams. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Shelley loved the summer months spending time with family and friends on her front porch. She is survived by her daughter Martha Pashley and son in law John Sitzenstatter of Bemus Point; son Jay and daughter in law Karen Pashley of Tampa Florida. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Taylor and Brandon Ferguson of Brussels, Belgium, Sydney Moore of Los Angeles California, Brooke Pashley of Aspen Colorado, Lauren Pashley of Tampa, Florida, and Connor Sitzenstatter of Antigua, Guatemala. She also had three great grandchildren, Aurora and Ilah Pashley, and Mia Sitzenstatter. She also is survived by her best friend David and rescue german shepherd granddog Max. There will be no funeral services at Shelley's request.
