I remember many years ago when I used to lead a Moms In Touch prayer group for Persell Middle School, an elderly lady walked into our prayer meeting one Tuesday morning. Rose Bailey and I thought she meant to go to the ladies Bible study that was held the same day at the church we met at, so we tried to straighten her out. "No." she said, "I want to pray for my grandson and he goes to Persell. I saw this in the bulletin and I want to come." And so began our relationship with Joan Hult. She came to that Tuesday morning prayer meeting faithfully until she and her husband moved to LSS. It was a sad day for us back then when we bid Joan good bye from our little prayer group. I was overjoyed when we retired in 2019 and began attending Hillcrest and I would see Joan in the hallway between services. We always joked about how we tried to kick her out of the Moms In Touch prayer meeting. She was a wonderful lady, who had a deep faith in God, and cared about her grandchildren enough to commit to attend a prayer meeting to pray for them and their school. I know she will be missed, but I also know she is in a far better place now. We need more Joan Hult's in our lives today. I was privileged to share those few years with her praying.

To our Dick & Joan Hult Family,
Chris and I would so like to grieve with you in person. We must tell you that Aunt Joan meant such a lot to us over these many years. From the time that I was a child and living in the Boston area in the 1950s until the present, we have enjoyed each and every time that we have spent time with our dear Aunt Joan. We cannot think of a more generous and giving person. Aunt Joan made the room come alive with her cheerfulness and joy. She was and IS one in a million! We love her dearly and will miss her in the years to come. The photo is Aunt Joan with her grandson at Lake Chautaqua in 2017.

Tim, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a wonderful woman, always made me feel special. Too many memories of your mom and sister to write them all here. She will truly be missed and im so blessed to have been able to know her for so many years. Our families did so many fun things together, I especially enjoyed going camping. Your mom always had a smile on her face and she always cared about people. Now l she is with the Lord and reunited with Dick and Nancy. Blessings to you ❤️

Dear Tim, I was so saddened to learn of your lovely Mothers recent passing. I knew from your letter that time was growing short, but you really are never quite prepared when it happens. From Indiana Avenue and beyond, I always enjoyed your Mother's spunky personality and I even got talked into selling Tupperware once upon a time! Peace to your heart. She was a great Mom and now she and Dick and Nancy can all be together. ❤️

Dear Hult family: my daughter Tricia and I are so sorry for your family's loss of Joan. She was a wonderful preschool teacher! Tricia went to Bethel Lutheran preschool in the early 1970's, and she still remembers Mrs. Hult.
You are in our thoughts.

It is with profound sadness that I learned of your Mother’s passing. Both my sisters and I will always consider your Mom our Mom as well. The corner of Forest Ave. and Locust St. was a special place and a wonderful place to grow up. Joan was a such a good person and I have thought of her many times over the years.
