Obituary of Michael T. Wieloszynski

Michael T. Wieloszynski, 52, of 118 Lambert Ave., Fredonia, NY passed away peacefully Sunday June 6, 2022. A native of Fredonia, he was born February 25, 1970, a son of the late Stephen and Patricia Wieloszynski. He was a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia, earning his Bachelor of Music degree in Education and Trombone performance, as well as his Master's of Music Education. Michael was a devoted teacher at Dunkirk Public City Schools (8 years) and Silver Creek Central Schools (15 years). He was passionate about the inclusion of Jazz music in the area schools and created the Northern Chautauqua Band Director's Association (NCCBDA) Annual Jazz Invitational. He was an avid sports fan attending Bills games regularly. Michael was also a professional free-lance trombonist performing Jazz, classical and musical theatre from Kleinhans Music Hall to the Chautauqua Institution. He is survived by his two brothers, Jay (Donelle) Wieloszynski of Lakewood, NY and Dan (Christine) Wieloszynski of Teaneck, NJ; and a nephew, Alex and niece, Jackie Wieloszynski. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Wieloszynski. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15th in Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter & Paul Church. The Rev. Paul Cygan, Parochial Vicar, will be celebrant. Inurnment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Farnham, NY. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
