Obituary of Mary D. Servis

Mary D. MacDonald Servis, 85, of 4567 Bayview Rd., Bemus point, passed away in her home Sunday June 12, 2022. She was born September 22, 1936, in Lac-Megantic, Quebec Canada, a daughter of the late Malcolm and Beatrice Robert MacDonald. Prior to her retirement she was a switchboard operator for various companies and eventually, following her passion, opened several Gift shops throughout Chautauqua County. Mary loved to play cards, especially cribbage, and was involved in many card nights with friends. She also enjoyed bowling. Mary was known for her tremendous personality and her ability to open her heart and home to others. She was cherished and will be missed by all that knew her. Surviving are her two children, MacDonald "Mac" Servis of Bemus Point, NY and Alexis (Chris) Teixeira of Somerville, MA. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Gary E. Servis, whom she married April 11, 1968, and who died October 12, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Saturday in the Bemus Point Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
