William H. "Bookie" Schreiber, 74, formerly of Bemus Point, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing.
He was born March 1, 1948 in Tulsa, OK and was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Wolf Schreiber.
A resident of California for most of his life, upon moving to Jamestown he was employed as a final engine inspector by Cummins Engine in Lakewood. At one time, Bill owned the former Compass Rose Restaurant in Lakewood and in earlier years the Pacific Coast Diner in Newport Beach, CA. He had also at one time worked at the Landmark Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
Bill was a former member of the Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion and the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.
Following Bill's wishes, no service or visitation will be observed.
