Obituary of Donovan C. Harshman, Sr.

Donovan Cameron Harshman, Sr., 87, of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. He was born May 24, 1935, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late Cameron and Seena Lindahl Harshman. Following schooling, he served in the Army National Guard. Prior to retirement, Don had been a shift supervisor for MRC/TRW Bearings in Jamestown. Later he and his wife, Marilyn, owned and operated a mobile home park and restaurant in Greenhurst. The family moved to Florida in 1972 where Don started and operated several small businesses and sold real estate. Don was an avid fisherman and photographer among his many hobbies. He is survived by a son, Donovan C. Harshman, Jr. and daughter, Kristine Elaina Leftwich, both of Cape Coral; and a granddaughter, Erin Kristine Leftwich and grandson, Donovan Kenneth Leftwich. A private family graveside service will be held in Sunset Hill Cemetery, where Don will be buried next to his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Mae Harshman who died December 21, 2012.
