Chuck Begert was a leader, mentor and friend. He encouraged us to be a better person and leader. Scouting turned out many of us who have become great leaders, business owners, and great people. I was lucky to be friends with him through the past 40 plus years. I continually thanked him for helping mold/guide me to the man I am today. Thank you to MaryJane, Kevin and Scott for the many years of his devotion to scouting. (High Adventures) He cared and helped all of us. I was lucky to have attained the Eagle rank under Begerts leadership I am truly lucky to have known Chuck and the Begert family. Thank you Kevin Ruttenbur

Thank you Charlie for all you did for me! I was a young boy without much direction at Maple Grove High School.
Mr.Begert took hold and guided be along a better path. Over the years we occasionally crossed paths and Chuck was always interested in what I was up to. He was about as genuine as they come in my opinion.
Respectfully
Jon Hanson

Mr. Begert holds a special place in my heart. I am honored to share his birthday. The fond memories of years in scouting and explorers will stay with me forever, they shaped me in ways I am sure I don't even recognize. I am proud to be one of this Eagles.
Mr. Begert turned a light on in me that burns to this day. He saw something and embraced that and created special architectural drafting classes for me to be in his lab every semester, allowing me to draft and focus on something I truly loved. I simply cannot express in words the debt of gratitude I owe him as that pencil is still in my hand today. That pencil has allowed me to create a business that I never thought possible from a MG grad. Mr. Begert is one of those key people that are responsible for my path.
I simply wanted to express my appreciation and gratitude and thanks to the family for sharing this incredible human being with us and wanted you to hear a story from one of the many people he has touched and help shape...

He was an excellent teacher, a good friend, and an example of what a human being should be. I and many others he taught will remember him with fond memories.

I was very sad to hear about Chuck. I will always remember a very supportive
and caring father of Kevin who played hockey with my son. May he enjoy
eternal peace.

My heartfelt condolences to the Begert family. I was the first female to ever take woodshop at MG because of him. He was a sweet, kind man, and I am so sorry for this loss but so happy to have known him.

Mr. Begert was a great man. He was one of the people who helped me achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. I learned a ‘lot from him, during my time as a Boy Scout.

Chuck was a wonderful man. Our son, Erik, was a scout under him for years where he learned about camaraderie, honesty and hard work. He also had his share of fun! All 3 of our children had him for Industrial Arts where they made footstools, etc that we still use! Bruce and I send our deepest sympathies to his family. Rest in peace Chuck, sincerely Bruce and Ginger Raymond
