Growing up at Zion, I fondly remember Shirley. She always made a point to talk to me on Sundays. My parents, Bob and Audrey(Johnson) thought the world of her as well. A very sweet and caring woman who will be dearly missed.

Shirley meant much to us of the Lutheran Home. She faithfully attended worship in Christ Chapel as she had with Carl at their home church, Zion Covenant. So sorry to hear about Shirley. Shirley lived one street over from my grandparents back in the 60's and 70's. She used to babysit my sister and I when we were very small. She also liked to make doll clothes for The Salvation Army's Doll Tree program at Christmas time. She would make sure to bring the finished dolls every time she came to the Ladies Aid program here at the Salvation Army, knowing that they would go to a special child in need. Condolences to the family as I know she will be missed!

My sisters and I truly loved Shirley. We knew her because we all attended Zion Covenant Church and she often picked us up after school to take us to confirmation and hi-league. I was so sorry to see she had passed away. Although it has been many years since I've last seen her, she will always be lovingly remembered. With Deepest Sympathy, Debbie (Bailey) Johnson
