Helga was my friend, mentor and inspiration. Helga changed my life in turning me from an adult student to a music and piano teacher of over 35 years. She was the most caring and genuinely advocate not only for our youth but all ages of those interested in music education. Because of Helgas influence and example, I too have been a life-long student and know I would not have pursued the mastery of music without her example and encouragement. She had no idea how influential she was in my life, I have had a marvelous career and the ability to financially support my family as a single mother…what a gift! While studying at Berklee, she was on my mind so very often wondering if she had sat in this room or that chair, and wishing I could tell her how much joy I have gleaned from our association and friendship. I loved her very much and I’m so grateful the Lord Jesus providentially allowed Helga’s profound influence and sweet smile in my life.
