Obituary of Marjorie I. Doud

Marjorie I. Doud, 94, of The Magnolia, Frewsburg, formerly of Ashville, died Sunday August 28, 2022, in Absolut Care of Westfield. A native of Jamestown, she was born March 24, 1928, the daughter of the late Albert and Rachel Floyd Hill. She was a 1946 graduate of Jamestown High School. After graduation, she worked for Loblaws and the late Dr. Elliot Root. Marge was also a very special Avon Lady for more than 50 years. Marjorie was accomplished at creating beautiful works from yarn, both with knit and crochet. She kept people smiling with her humor and quick wit. She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Doud whom she married August 24, 1947, and who died March 19, 2007; son Steven C. Doud on Feb 12, 1974; brother William E. Hill, in addition to her parents. In keeping with Marjorie's wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Co. Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
