Obituary of Ronald B. Marzalen

Ronald B. Marzalen, 91, of 165 Aldren Ave. Jamestown, NY, passed away at 1:55 pm Saturday, October 1, 2022, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong area resident, he was born December 2, 1930, in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Blaise P. and Ella Olson Marzalen. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from September 26, 1950, to July 13, 1954. Before his retirement, he was a machine operator for the Adanlock Corporation in Jamestown and in earlier years was a supervisor for the former Crescent Tool Company. He was a former member of the Jamestown-Falconer Falcons RC Flying Club. Surviving are two sons: Barry W. (Colleen) Brentley of Jamestown, Brad J. (Jenny) Brentley of Ohio, five grandchildren: Michael Brentley, Jennifer Wright, Taylor Anne (Michael) Morrison, Timothy Brentley, Sara Brentley, several great grandchildren, a brother, James Marzalen of Jamestown and a sister, Elaine Marzalen of Jamestown. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife the former Mildred A. Carlson Marzalen whom he married November 4, 1955, and who died March 11,2017. In keeping with Ron's wishes, there will be no formal service or visitation observed. Inurnment will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
