Obituary of Nancy J. Neal

Nancy J. Neal, 92, of Lakewood, NY, [passed away at 8:35 pm Friday, October 14, 2022, in the Star Hospice House, Lakewood, NY. A lifelong area resident, she was born April 1, 1930, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Donald and Irene Winch Sales. Nancy served in the U.S. Naval Reserves from June 29, 1951, to June 28, 1955. She was an Avon Representative in the Jamestown and Lakewood area for 43 years. She was a member of the Lakewood Memorial Post 1286 American Legion, a life member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, the Busti Golden Agers, and the Lakewood Historical Society. She will be remembered as one who loved animals, going line dancing, and enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Lottsville, PA for many years. Surviving is a daughter, Violet (Randy) Davidson of Lakewood, NY, two granddaughters, Kimberly (Peyton) McVinney of Jamestown, NY, Jessica (Thomas) Dayton of Lakewood, NY, four great grandchildren, Hunter, Drew, and Mason McVinney and Brooke Angelo, her nieces and nephews, Susan Sales, Rick Sales, Lenny Sales, Lisa Sales, Jamie Sales, and Kody Robbins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Neal who died January 15, 1989, her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Donna Sales. A private service will be held at a later date. At the request of Nancy, visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Bentley Lakewood Cemetery.
