Obituary of Joshua L. Whitford

Joshua L. Whitford, 47, of Rt. 394 Randolph, NY, passed away unexpectedly at 3:13 pm Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the emergency room of UPMC Chautauqua. A lifelong area resident, he was born October 15, 1975, in Jamestown, NY, a son of Nancy A. Harmon Whitford Waterman and the late Edward L. Whitford. He was a 1993 graduate of Jamestown High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Jamestown Business College. Joshua had been employed by the Western New York DDSO and the Resource Center as a direct care professional. He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a very kind, caring and compassionate person who made it his mission to make people happy. He was also a very spiritual person who loved his Lord. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Nancy and Richard Waterman of Jamestown, NY, his wife, Amanda C. Pattison Whitford whom he married May 27, 2006, four children: Katelyn (Bart) Pulmer of Dunkirk, NY, Caleb Whitford, Ethan Rhodes, Alexander Whitford both of Randolph, NY, one grandchild, and his siblings: Bob Goodwin, David (Vicky) Whitford, Debra (Dean) Abbey, Amy (Chuck) Stafford, Doug Goodwin, Mary (Donald) Mohney, Laura Confere, Edward (Keirsten) Whitford, Jr, Tobias Whitford, Scott (Michelle) Waterman, Jason (Kayla) Waterman, Pamela Waterman, Lisa Fox and Richard Fox. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ashley Susan Whitford and a nephew, Charles O. "Buddy" Brown, III. The funeral will be held at 11 am Friday, November 11, 2022, in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday, November 10, 2022, in the funeral home.
