I first met Karen when our daughters were cheerleaders at CVC. She allowed my daughter to spend many a night at her house.She even went the extra mile and became her guardian so she could finish school at CVC. A very loving and giving person. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I grew up right next door to Karen. Derek and I are the same age, we were best friends. I spent A LOT of time at their house. Karen was always welcoming, she treated me as one of her own and I believe she helped shape me into the person I am today. So many great memories, sitting at the counter in the kitchen eating our after school snack and the soda machine…it was the coolest! Vacation bible school at their church. Derek and I coming home covered in mud from the frog pond, Karen didn’t get mad often but boy was she that night! Her home was always cozy and tidy, I loved being there. Their phone number is one of the few that I still remember after all these years. When my parents moved away, I think one of the hardest things was leaving our neighbors who had become family… I am thankful for her Godly example and for the love she gave. I look forward to seeing her in eternity!
