Obituary of Constance B. Storms
Constance B. "Connie" Storms, 91, formerly of 174 Front St., Lakewood and 317 Fairmount Ave. in Jamestown, died Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing in Jamestown.
A life-long Jamestown resident and first-generation American, she was born April 26, 1931 in WCA Hospital, the daughter of the late Ida (Purpura) and Alfred Moretti.
After her graduation from Jamestown High School in 1949, she was employed by Bigelow's department store and later by Weber-Knapp Inc. Upon retirement, she loved being surrounded by family, friends, and laughter. She was always active, whether playing cards, bowling, or volunteering as an usher at local theater venues. She was often seen at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the American Legions in Lakewood and Celoron.
Connie will be missed by many including her son, John (Teresa) Slaven; daughter, Donna (Derek) Brink; stepdaughters Marilyn (Michele) Storms and Jessica (Jim) Hitchcock; grandchildren Devon Benner, Andrew Brink, Daniel Brink, and Katherine Brink; great-grandchild Riley Mullins; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her parents Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. "Rit" Storms; and her brothers, Joseph and Matthew Moretti.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 27th at the Lind Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 28th at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that any memorial donations may be made to the Lakewood Rod & Gun Auxiliary, the Lakewood American Legion, or Heritage Ministries.
