Obituary of Helen M. Verleni
Helen M. (Linamen) Verleni, 87, entered into heaven with the Lord Jesus, on November,
24, 2022, in Parker, PA.
Mrs. Verleni was married to the late Mr. Nicholas P. Verleni, and they lived for years at 19 Chautauqua Ave., in Jamestown, NY.
Helen was born in, Callensburg, PA, on April 15, 1935, and was the daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Barger) Linamen.
Helen graduated from St. Petersburg Richland Township, High School, in St. Petersburg, PA, Class of 1952.
She worked as an assembler in a shoe factory, as a waitress in restaurants, in Pittsburgh, PA and in Jamestown, NY. She also worked for several years as a mail room clerk, at Jamestown General Hospital, before it closed in 1988.
Helen enjoyed cooking and spending time with church, family, and friends.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lonnie R. (Denise) Kriebel, Mrs. Michael (Leslie) Rankin, both of Parker, PA, Jacquelyn Scott, of Clarion, PA, and Miss Cynthia Holmes, of Tucson, AZ, and three sons, Barry and wife Lisa (Linnon) Francisco, of Dallastown, PA, Mike and wife Linda (Howard) Francisco, of Emlenton, PA, and Van and wife Yolanda (Delgado) Verleni, of Jamestown, NY. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Willa Short, of Jamestown, NY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas P. Verleni, four brothers, Burdell Linamen, Meade Linamen, Clarence (Dick) Linamen, and Tom Linamen; and eight sisters, Myra Forsberg, Lucille Paddock, Marion France, Hazel Anderson, Gladys McKinney, Myrna Whitmore, Charlotte Courson, and infant Ruth Linamen.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am Monday in Lake View Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
