Obituary of Eileen L. Allen

Eileen L. Allen, 76, of Lakewood, NY, passed away at 12:20 am Saturday, November 26, 2022, in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident for most of her life, she was born May 22, 1946, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Nelson S. and Winifred A. Washberg Vail. Eileen attended school in England and worked as a midwife in England for several years. Before her retirement, she had worked in the offices of Drs. Kim and Sutaria taking care of expectant mothers and delivering babies. She had also worked for Upjohn Health care for several years. Surviving is a son, Jonathan Allen of Lakewood, NY, a stepdaughter, Kristine Britton of FL, a grandson, Brandon Allen of Falconer, NY, several step-grandchildren, and her brother, Richard Vail of Lakewood, NY. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. "Dick" Allen who died March 14, 1996, and three stepchildren, Kerry Allen, Kevin Allen, and Kimberly Allen. In keeping with Eileen's wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation observed.
