Paula and I were sadden to hear of Dick’s passing. We came to know him and Sonja as true friends. He was inspirational in providing me with good business and community advice in my tenure of Superintendent of Schools. He was one of the first persons we meant on our relocation to Jamestown. His love for the Lake convinced us to relocate on Chautauqua in 2000.
Dick was truly loving and proud of his wife and children. God bless all of them in this time. God bless

Lisa, Rick, and family,
My heartfelt condolences to your family on the passing of your father, husband, grandfather. Although I only met him one time, he was so nice, so friendly, and had a huge smile on his face. That is how I will remember him. I’m sure you all have your own special memories of Dick. I will keep good thoughts for your whole family during this sad time. Good health to everyone.
RIP Mr Stahlman
Respectfully,
Mark DeJoy

It was with great sadness that I learned of Richard's passing. I had the pleasure of Richards acquaintance for several decades and enjoyed a multitude of conversations with him, spanning a multitude of topics, in addition to our business association. My sincere condolences go out to Sonja and the entire Stahlman family. Richard will be greatly missed. -- Ralph Dahlgren (aka Uncle Ralph)

My condolences to Sonya and family. Dick's mother and father were great friends of my parents so we kind of grew up together. He, like his parents, was a bright light no matter the situation. It was no surprise when he landed the beautiful Sonya and no surprise that their lives have been so successful. My prayers for you all. Jack Belknap

My heart to all of Dick's Family,
He was always smiling and generous with his time. Hiring me out of high school, he patiently taught me so much about the real estate business. The knowledge he gave me opened so many doors in my career, and I will always be thankful for his support and encouragement. Flight of Angels, Dick.
"I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love." Leo Buscaglia
